| Resource | Comments |
| The Caregiver Helpbook | Really helpful, down to earth and straightforwardly-written. |
| Cruising through Caregiving: Reducing the Stress of Caring for Your Loved One | Still working through this one, pretty good so far. |
| The 36-Hour Day: A Family Guide to Caring for People Who Have Alzheimer Disease and Other Dementias | One of the “gold standard” books about dementia and caregiving. Very thorough and realistic. Get a recent edition. |
| The Everything Executor and Trustee Book: A Step-by-Step Guide to Estate and Trust Administration (Everything® Series) | Very helpful. |
| Trustee’s Legal Companion, The: A Step-by-Step Guide to Administering a Living Trust | Very helpful. Both these books are good but in somewhat different ways. |
| The Year My Family Unravelled | First-person account of issues coming to light and moving parents to care. |
| Can’t We Talk about Something More Pleasant?: A Memoir | Outstanding memoir by one of my favorite cartoonists, Roz Chast. |
| Finding Life in the Land of Alzheimer’s: One Daughter’s Hopeful Story | My former journalism advisor took an entry-level job in senior care in part to help her come to terms with her guilt and other feelings about her mother’s decline. Very good and moving. |
